Is THE EYE OF CAER WEILEN part of a series? |
| A: |
Yes, it is. THE EYE OF CAER WEILEN actually begins several
hundred years after the extinction of the full-blooded
dragons, which is the true “beginning” of the
story. Each generation of the dragon/human hybrid family
that is the focus of the series, the Montesquieus, is
a story in its own right. |

Why did you start writing this series in the middle? |
| A: |
Because it's where I am now in the storyline. I have
been living in Vakronia since I was a child, and that's
a lot of ground to cover! I became fascinated with
dragons in the third grade, and that was when I developed
the dragon world of Vakronia. The dragons have long since
become extinct, and my focus has turned to their descendants,
the dragon/human hybrids.
Each generation has grown and developed as I grew and
developed. So I know what happened up to this point, but
I'm living in this particular generation of the family
(actually, that's not totally true. I've moved onto the
next generation, but I haven't settled on some of the
key events yet, which is why I'm not starting there).

Will THE EYE OF CAER WEILEN ever be published as
a book? |
| A: |
I hope so! In order to begin that process, however,
I must have a completed manuscript. It is my hope that
the ever-looming deadlines imposed by the serial format (two issues each week, each approximately
1,500-2,000 words) will accelerate my productivity to
the point where I will actually have a complete manuscript
so that I can send out queries to publishers and/or agents. |

Will you make other stories in this series available
as on-line serials? |
| A: |
That is entirely possible, but it will depend on the
completion of THE EYE OF CAER WEILEN first. I will not
begin working on the next story (which may, in fact, cover
a previous generation) until I complete this first story. |
